Depression can be devasting. There are two articles today that discuss it in new moms as well depression and violence and anger.
A new study could help determine whether postpartum depression is its own disease. The study, which Northwestern calls one of the first of its kind, could help other researchers determine whether postpartum depression is a gloomy period or its own disease.
People with depression were less violent. But after adjusting for other health and socioeconomic variables, the researchers found that delusions accompanied by anger were present far more often among the violent patients.
